I was so excited to see so many of last year's and next years kindergarten students in the Little Miss Alden and Little Mr. Alden contest at Alden Days. I was especially glad to hear so many of the kiddos were excited about school at Alden! I'm hoping the Alden parade was fun for those students to also ride in. I'm sure I'll see more kindergarteners at Alden days this weekend.

I was just in our classroom and am excited about the drop ceiling that is going in. The room is a little dusty right now, but it's going to be nice when it is finished. I was excited to see some of last years kindergarten class and next years class in Iowa Falls at the Iowa Falls Idol during Lawn Chair night. It looked like you were having fun on the playground and listening to the music. Maybe some day, one of you will be in this contest and I'll be there to watch you! I hope you are all having a great summer and are staying cool in this warm weather. Summer school ends this Wednesday, then I probably won't be back in the school building until August.

Last work day

Today I finished packing up our room for the summer. I am excited because over the summer, we are going to have our LCD projector hung from the ceiling. This will make it easier and less crowded in our room when we use our mimio. I sadly said goodbye for the summer to all my teacher friends. I am glad that I will see many of them over the summer and will get to do fun things with them! I hope you are enjoying your summer too. Remember, the Alden library has a fantastic summer reading program and the new and improved Alden pool will be opening on Sunday.

We had a great time at kindrgarten round-up. The kids were so excited to be here and so well behaved. Mrs. Moore and Mr. K were in the room along with Mrs. Meyer and Mrs. Duit. The class lists have been made and Mrs. Duit and myself have both sent out postcards to the students assigned to our classes for next year. We can't wait!!
